What is summer without ice tea? And what is ice tea without lemon, sugar and mint? What if you could combine them all in one?
The fixings are simple; bamboo skewers, lemon drop hard candies and fresh mint. Place a few lemon drops several inches apart on a parchment paper covered cookie sheet. Bake in a 300˚ oven for about 5 minutes, checking often to make sure that they don't burn.
When they melt, remove from the oven. Push the point of the skewer into the hot candy and twist it back and forth. Lift up the skewer and place a small piece of mint leaf on top of the candy. Replace the skewer. Allow to cool. * note - I would only do 2 or 3 lemon drops at a time until I got the hang of it.
Present your candied skewers in a pretty glass at the table and let your guests enhance their teas.
