We all can use more dragonflies in our lives and who doesn't want another way to clip photos to the fridge? This craft solves both needs.Materials
Cut two 12" lengths of wire. Circle them around leaving 2" tails on either end. Pinch then together in the middle and pull the loops to form thin dragon fly wings. Wrap one of the loose ends around the middle.
Position one set of wings behind the head and wrap the wire ends around the body. Tuck in the ends and clip them off if necessary. Repeat with the other set of wings, placing them just below the first set. Remove the skewer.
2" Alligator clips (electrical department, hardware store)
20 gauge wire
small magnet
E-6000 or Goop glue
Tools
needle nose pliers
wooden skewer
Thread the end of the wire through the tubular end of the clip. Spiral the end of the wire. Place the tubular end of the clip onto the non-pointed end of a skewer. Wrap a few coils of wire on the tube and then proceed down about 3 1/2" on the skewer, wrapping somewhat loosely so that you can remove the skewer when you are finished. Wrap the wire back up the length of the body.
Leave about 1" when you clip off the wire and spiral. Position it so that it meets and matches the spiral from the beginning.
