Clipboard Frames

I needed a way to display my many photos and to be able to change them at will. Clipboards! They may be used as is but for an older look follow the instructions below.
Materials:
clipboard
8x10" frame (only use the glass)
8x10" mat
small nail or screw

Optional:
masking tape
newspaper
fine sandpaper
black spray paint
Sand the clip for better paint adhesion. Mask off the clip with newspaper and tape. Spray and let dry. Lightly sand again for a more vintage look.
I printed my photo in black & white (sepia would be great too). Taped it onto the back of the photo mat and placed it under the glass. I clipped it in place and carefully tapped a nail (I used a black carpet tack) at the bottom to prevent the glass from slipping.

Tips:
Be aware that glass in cheap frames may have a greenish tint. It's not noticeable until you group several together and find that some are greenish and some are not. I don't let it bother me as I think it adds to the vintage look.

BRILLIANT! MARVELOUS! I so adore this idea. Your photos look beautiful above your work table. I'm doing something kinda like this but for oganizing--- one clip board for each day of the week. I'm going to do your tip and paint the clip. Would a yellow clip would turn out okay--- it's in my YELLOW theme art room??

THANKS for sharing this idea!

Try painting it yellow. You can always paint over it if it doesn't work out.

Hey there!. !! Happy Thanksgiving!!! :) :) :)
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, and every yr I like to get into the mood-extend the holiday, when it were-by reading "Thanksgiving novels." Unsurprisingly, those stories are mostly about family and friends, about coming together to heal old hurts and giving thanks for the gift of love. ... .. -
